Hey my friends,
Hope this finds you all safe and well. It’s been a couple months since I’ve sent anything out, and given we’re halfway through 2019, I wanted to give you a quick update on where things stand with the release of Haunted Beauty.
If someone had told me last year that I wouldn’t have it published by now, I would’ve run to the bathroom and cried my eyes out. To say I am devastated to not have it in your hands yet, is an understatement. I had plans, deadlines, and evidently, a strong case of wishful thinking. Life had other ideas…so did the story, which has become a behemoth of a monster. Throw in a newborn novelist still trying to figure out her writing process, a man with a broken hip, some good old-fashioned family drama, and it’s a recipe for chaos. But..as Sam Flynn said in Tron Legacy, “Chaos. Good news.” So, I’m using all the angst, emotion, and determination and applying it to the story. Slowly, I’m inching through rewrites, page by page, chapter by chapter, unwilling to stop until the story is exactly where it needs to be. For that, I know I will definitely still need the summer, but come fall, I hope to be able to give you a narrowed time frame, somewhere in 2019. You have been so kind and patient and supportive, and it’s meant so much. And know that I’ll be sharing more teasers with you as we go along, and I’ve got some other things to share too that I think you’ll like.
